CanSkate Program Assistant Training

CanSkate is always changing the program needs you to be up to date! The Centre will be conducting training as per the details listed below:

Off-Ice Classroom Portion:
Date: Saturday, September 28th
Time: 9:30am-11:30am
Location: UNBC - room to be confirmed
Bring: All PA materials that you have received so far, plus a binder, pen and loose leaf paper.

On-Ice Training Portion:
Date: Tuesday, October 1st
Time: 7:00pm-8:00pm
Location: Elksentre Arena
Bring: Skates, PA paperwork

Skaters who are 10 or 11 are allowed to help. All skaters who meet these requirements are strongly encouraged to attend both sessions. Please rsvp your attendance by signing your name on the list posted at the Elksentre. Skaters who are 12 years of age or older are eligible to PA.

Administrative Assistant Position

The Northern BC Centre for Skating is taking applications for immediate placement. The successful candidate will have office experience and be computer savvy. A candidate who possesses excellent organizational skills and who enjoys taking their tasks and running with them, will fit perfectly in this role. Word processing and spreadsheet proficiency is an essential part of this position. For full details click on the Terms of Reference document below.

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Renée Hampole, our beloved president, for being named one of Prince George's community sport heroes!

What an inspiring person to lead the Northern BC Centre for Skating. We are lucky to have her!

The award ceremony is on September 30th at the Civic Center.
