The Northern BC Centre for Skating provides comprehensive skill development in accordance with the Long Term Development Model, supporting all levels of ice skaters. The Centre encourages physical, emotional and social growth and promotes achievement through a positive learning environment and teamwork.

The Centre offers comprehensive training programs that encourage the interest, enjoyment, development and advancement of its members to meet and/or exceed competitive standards as established by Skate Canada and the International Skating Union. The Centre represents the interests of all skaters within our region.

Philosophy
- Unified team coaching that allows each coach to focus on his or her special areas of interest and expertise. Scheduling and lesson allocation is achieved through continuous discussion and planning led by the Director of Skating. Team members also include off-ice present and potential “Community Partners”.
